Dave's birthday

Dave and I went out to his favorite brewery for his birthday
The drinks were great, but the "cauliflower wings" were not.
We made him a cake that looked like him getting stuck in deep snow.

Sunday night we went out to a Star Wars Cantina to continue the celebration.

Older

Dave and I often talk about how much more exposed to stuff Luke and Ally have been at age 11 than Kate and Anna did. In sixth grade, either of them would have heard the word "balls" and pictured soccer balls, paint balls, or something like that. But, yesterday Luke was playing some kind of game on his phone and said, "Ally, I'm going to beat this guy up with these colored balls." And Ally repled, "Luke! That's racist...and just plain messed up."

Milo and the snow

Milo watched his first snowfall out the window today.
He found it quite upsetting, because,
try as he might, he couldn't swat at every flake.
"Mommy! What can I do!?"

"Oh, my gosh! It's snow. Snap out of it, man!"
